Introduction to Oracle Designer
COURSE DURATION 5 days
DESCRIPTION
Gain experience and knowledge of how to use Oracle Designer for systems analysis, data and process modeling, and subsequent database design and application generation.
Lectures are followed by workshops, with hands-on Oracle Designer training and tool-based exercises.
AUDIENCE
Business analysts, process modelers, systems analysts, database designers and application programmers who will be using Oracle Designer on projects in coming weeks.
PREREQUISITES
Students should possess the following prior to attending:
- Previous data and/or process modeling experience
- Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS languages SQL and PL/SQL
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR CLASS SETUP
PC-equipped classroom with Oracle Designer v6.x (or v2.x) installed on student PCs. Barco projector to display instructor?s PC. Note: Client will need a technical person to install Oracle Designer v6.x (or v2.x) on a non-production database server, check install, and call instructor to verify all set five days before class.
LOCATION AND MAXIMUM ATTENDANCE
All classes are scheduled and held at client site training rooms.
No minimum attendance requirement. Maximum number of students: 16.

- Database Design and Generation (and optionally, Web Generation)
- Forms Screen and Report Design and Generation
