Business Systems Modeling
Gain skill with the data and process modeling and documentation techniques supported by Oracle's Designer product (formerly Designer/2000) to create integrated enterprise-wide data and process models. Understand the different features of Oracle Designer in process and data analysis and documentation phase and why the tool works the way it does. Explore Designer's Repository Object Navigator and the use of Repository Reports for documentation. Lectures are followed by workshops, with hands-on Oracle Designer tool-based exercises.
AUDIENCE
Business analysts, process improvement analysts, data analysts and modelers seeking to learn how to use Oracle Designer v2/v6/v6i for requirements analysis, and seeking to practice the skills of data and/or process modeling in a hands-on setting.
PREREQUISITES
Students should possess the following prior to attending:
- Previous data and/or process analysis experience
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR CLASS SETUP
PC-equipped classroom with Oracle Designer v6.x (or v2.x) installed on student PCs. Barco projector to display instructor's PC.
Note: Client will need a technical person to install Designer v6.x (or v2.x) on a non-production database server, check install and call instructor to verify all set five days before class.
LOCATION AND MAXIMUM ATTENDANCE
All classes are scheduled and held at client site training rooms.
No minimum attendance requirement. Maximum number of students: 16.
